This24-strand climbing line is a true 1/2″ (12.7 mm) and is the lightestpremium climbing line of its size available. The large and comfortablebraid of Vortex makes it extremely comfortable in the hand and makesgripping the rope a pleasant undertaking unlike smaller lines. Like itscounterpart Velocity (but a little larger for easy handling) – Vortexhas excellent knot-holding ability, works well with hardware, and isgreat for footlocking. Compared to ropes of similar size, Vortex has25–30% lower elongation when used at the same load which means it willstretch less while climbing.120′ and 150′ hanks are spliced in one end of the rope to help streamline your climbing system.
